Love Is in The Air

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

-Lao Tzu

February is associated with love, which to some can be an enlightening thing, but to others a painful reminder of their singledom. Like it or not, Valentine’s Day is a very popular day and every year people spend a lot of money and effort on this day to please a loved one or to try to conquer a love interest.

February is also a month where everyone seems to be waiting for Spring to arrive, and every year, it never seems to come soon enough. Every year the cold lingers and our daily motivation dwindles even more.

Why not take this month to stop being hard on yourself and learn to appreciate all the things that you do to better yourself inside and out? This February, learn to love and accept yourself!

Love Means First and Foremost Loving Yourself

We have all heard this cliché that you cannot find love until you learn to love yourself. Some points in this thought process are actually quite true. To share your love with someone else, it’s best to know your own capacity to love in order to determine what kind of love you are ready to give and therefor receive. When you know yourself enough to know what kind of partner you can be, then it is easier to find someone who will respect you and your life choices. Appreciating the good that you do and revealing an open heart will most certainly open you up to having authentic love in your life. The kind of love that most of us strive for!

Loving yourself also means feeling well and taking good care of yourself. When you like what you see in the mirror, your confidence will show through your daily activities and people will definitely take notice. Eating a healthy diet and staying fit are lifestyle choices that have positive impacts on your self esteem. At Pinnacle Training and Fitness, we take into account your personal goals and help you to achieve a level of fitness where you can feel confident and love yourself on the outside as well as on the inside.

Love Comes in All Shapes and Sizes

Yes, we have all heard this one before also. Literally, there are a ton of different shapes and sizes. Trying to achieve a social standard of beauty is probably unrealistic for most. Body image issues have risen in the last years because of all the false advertisement and extreme photo editing of bodies in marketing campaigns. Trying to look like the models that you see in the magazines or online is simply setting you up for some major grief. Learning to accept your body and its limitations is a great first step to loving yourself just the way you are. That doesn’t mean that you should simply sit back, eat unhealthily, and let yourself go. Having a daily healthy regimen that includes workouts and trainings will only make you look and feel the best that you can.

When you feel good, you look good. When you feel and look good, you are opening the door to the possibility of love and other great things that life has to offer.

Come in to meet a personal trainer at Pinnacle Training and Fitness to talk about your personal and achievable goals that fit your body. We love it when our patrons feel good and love themselves!
